IMPORTANT: You should NOT simply delete the folders. Open File Explorer and locate the folder you no longer want to be available. Right-click the folder name. Select the Remove shortcut option.
At the top of File Explorer, click the 3 dots and select Options. On the resulting dialog, click the Clear button at the bottom, that will delete the list of recent files form the Quick Access section of File Explorer.
1. In the navigation pane, click the Navigate tab. 2. In the Workspaces section, right click the name of the folder that you want to remove and select Delete Folder.
Delete a file by using File Explorer Open a File Explorer window. Tip: A quick way to get to File Explorer is to press Windows Key. + E. Locate the file that you want to delete. Select the file and press your Delete key, or click Delete on the Home tab of the ribbon.
In the Navigation Pane, right-click the shortcut that you want to remove, and then click Remove.
Removing Folders Devices and Drives from File Explorer left click on file/folder. right click on the selected file/folder. left click on Properties. left click on Details tab. at the bottom of the window,left click on ---Remove properties and personal information ---
Option to delete is unavailable but you can unpin from the navigation pane. Select the folder. Right click on the file. Select the option unpin from quick access.
You cant delete a file if the file is being used. To resolve this issue, determine the process that has the open handle, and then close that process. Depending on how the file is opened, you may not be able to delete a file thats in use. For example, the file is open for exclusive access instead of shared access.
General program icons and shortcuts To delete an icon created by saving a file, the installation of a program, or user-created shortcuts, follow these steps. Right-click the icon you want to delete. In the drop-down menu, select Delete.
