Take these steps to split a PDF on your Mac using Preview: Open your PDF in the Preview app. Open the thumbnail view and select the page or pages you would like to separate. Drag and drop the pages to your desktop or to another folder.
Choose Tools Organize Pages. Or, select Organize Pages from the right pane. Select pages to delete: Click the page thumbnail of any page or pages you want to delete, then click the Delete icon to remove the page or pages from the file.
Sometimes, when Preview wont let edit PDF, the app isnt the problem - the reason for errors lies in the file having editing restrictions enabled. If you arent the owner of the PDF youre trying to alter, youre likely to run into this issue.
Basically the creator of the PDF password protected the PDF locking out certain specific things you can and cant do. Your only recourse is likely asking for the password, or an unlocked copy that permits deleting and rearranging pages.
Delete a page from a PDF: Choose View Thumbnails or View Contact Sheet, select the page or pages to delete, then press the Delete key on your keyboard (or choose Edit Delete). When you delete a page from a PDF, all the annotations on the page are removed as well.
If you cant delete pages from PDFs using Preview, then the PDF youre trying to edit may be restricted. While you can do basic editing with Preview, Macs built-in app cannot remove Password Protections on PDFs if there are any. These PDF documents use a Permission Password, meaning theyre owner-protected.
How to delete PDF pages in Windows 10. Turn to the page you want to delete. In Page Navigation, right-click the page you wish to delete, then click Delete. When in a two-page spread view, the Delete Page dialog box will appear. Select an option and click OK.
On Android, you can use the default Google PDF Viewer to delete pages from PDF documents. While viewing the file, tap the three-dot icon to the top-right of the screen and select Print. Then, uncheck the boxes under the pages you want to delete, set the printer to Save as PDF, and tap the Save icon.
