one of the things that you might have some trouble with is deleting a field so youll notice that theres this box here on the outskirts and theres also a picture in the background and as Im clicking on the background its not allowing me to drag it around and all its letting me do is type so what I want to do is I want to get to the background so I can delete it but I need to get rid of this outer box first so to get rid of the outer box lets click out lets click back in if I click on the outside youll notice the line just changed see how the line is dotted here and then see how if I get this arrow cursor right on the edge and then click it again it turns to a solid line and if you hit the delete button on your keyboard especially on this outer part here it should delete that outer box now I can click on this image and I can move it around or I can get rid of it

Delete a table of contents Go to References Table of Contents. Select Remove Table of Contents..
An easy way to clear out the table is to select the entire table and then press the Delete key. The information in the table is cleared, but the table structure remains. It is interesting to note that you must press the Delete key.
To do this, select the table and click the Table of Contents button at the top. Alternatively, you can go to the References tab and click the drop-down arrow for Table of Contents. Choose Remove Table of Contents at the bottom of the menu. You will not be asked to confirm the removal.
Remove a picture from under other items On the HOME tab, in the Editing group, click Select Selection Pane. On the Selection Pane, each object on the slide appears as a separate item in the order they are layered on the slide. On the slide, click the picture to select it, and on your keyboard, press Delete.
Open the View tab and choose Outline View. Select the entire outline and press Ctrl-C to copy it. Paste the outline (Ctrl-V) into a text box on a blank slide, add slide numbers and tabs as needed, and youve got your table of contents. Optionally, add hyperlinks using the method in the index section.
How to Create an Index in PowerPoint Open the PowerPoint presentation for which you want to create an index. Click in the text box and type the title of the first slide in your presentation. Click and drag to select the first slide title. Repeat the process for each slide title.
