If you have multiple comments and you want to remove all comments at once, click on the dropdown arrow under the delete button and then click on Delete all comments in Document. If you dont want to delete the comments but rather hide them, then go to the section called Tracking and in the dropdown menu choose Original. The comment will remain in the sidebar, but it will be grayed out to show the comment has been resolved.
On your computer, open a document, spreadsheet, or presentation. Click the comment you want to close. In the top corner of the comment, click Resolve.
Resolving a comment allows you to mark the comment as finished. This approach helps the original writer better track whats been changed and helps the reviewer see how recommended changes were implemented. When you resolve a comment in Word, a record of the comment is preserved.
Empty your trash On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides app. In the upper left, tap Menu . Tap Trash. Next to the file youd like to delete, tap More . Tap Delete forever.
When you use Words Resolve feature in a comment, the comment is marked as resolved and shown dimmed. However, the comment remains in the document until you delete it.
Deleting a comment removes it from the document forever. Resolving a comment marks it as finished but leaves a record of the comment.
To view all comments, including all resolved comments, open the Comments pane by clicking Comments in the ribbon. You can interact with comments in the Comments pane the same as you would in the contextual view. If you reopen a resolved comment, it will be visible again in the contextual view.

Resolving a comment keeps the comment but shows it as Resolved so those collaborating on the piece can see the issue has been fixed. Deleting the comment removes it completely. If you want other teammates to know an issue was dealt with, use Resolve.
There are two ways you can delete or remove comments from a Word document: To delete a single comment in the document, right-click the comment, and choose Delete Comment. To delete all the comments in the document, go to the Review tab, click the down-arrow on Delete, and choose Delete All Comments in Document.
