if your workbook is protected with a password and you want to remove the password open the file protected with password Excel prompts for the password enter the current password click on OK Excel opens the workbook click on file click on info click on protect workbook in the drop-down list click on encrypt with password Excel displays encrypt document window and password is defaulted with current password of workbook to remove the password protection blank out the password click OK click on sale which will remove the password protection for the workbook close the file open the same file again you can see Excel doesnt prompt for a password

Remove restrictions On the Review tab, under Protection, select Permissions, and then select No Restrictions. In the dialog box, select Remove Restrictions.

To display the Edit Permissions dialog box, select a data source from the list, and then select Edit Permissions. Under Credentials, notice that the permission type of the data source is identified, such as Anonymous. To remove the permission, select Delete.
Remove password protection from an Excel file To remove password encryption from the file, open the workbook and enter the password in the Password box. Then click File Info Protect Workbook Encrypt with Password. Delete the contents of the Password box, click OK, and then save the file again.
