hi everyone and welcome to hatch fax this is John and were going to actually do a continuation of our lesson from last week but were going to give it a different spin last week we actually did a free-standing background on some lettering and we use the tools within hatch to actually create the background and somebody in our hatch fax Facebook group actually said we could potentially turn that into cut work and that is a great idea so Im going to show you guys how to take a background and turn it into cut work now Im going to do something a little different youll notice that Im going to bring in one of our vintage lace designs and keep in mind that these designs were digitized to between fifty to sixty years ago they were manually punched one stitch at a time and that means that the EMB file the native file format for Wilkin was not available and these are converted from their stitch file formats into all of the formats for the various machines so Im going to bring in a DST fil
