have you encountered a situation where microsoft excel would show you hashtags or number symbols in your cell let me show you the fast way to solve this one scenario where you would get those hashtags in this sheet i have original price discount and discounted price with discounted price having this formula to compute the discounted amount as you can see there are cells with correct values displayed while some are just showing hashtags but if i hover over them i actually see the value so the cause of this is simply because the column width is not wide enough to display those values therefore the fix is basically just to increase the column width likewise you have the option to shrink to fit those cells by doing so like so and since this being numbers feel free to also reduce the decimal place another scenario is dealing with dates and in this example we have the hashtag showing because the column width is not yet wide enough to accommodate the text and another one at the bottom where
