Hi everyone, Kevin here. Today I want to show you how you can create your very own fillable form using Microsoft Word. First off, what is a fillable form? You can have people go in and fill out a form, but they wont be able to edit the questions or the structure of the form. You can use things like check boxes, text fields, drop down lists, date pickers, to build your form. Once someones finished completing your form, they can e-mail it back, they could print it out, or you could even connect it to a database. Connecting to a database is outside of the scope of todays tutorial. Its kind of like an docHub PDF form, but its Microsofts version of it. Ive included sample files today if you want to follow along, otherwise lets jump on the PC and lets get started. Click on Accept, under Changes, then use the arrow to navigate to and select Accept All Changes in Document, if you approve of all of the changes and want Word to automatically accept them in their entirety. By accepting all of the changes, Word removes their markups.
Crop marks, also known as trim marks, are lines printed in the corners of your publications sheet or sheets of paper to show the printer where to trim the paper. They are used by commercial printers for creating bleeds where an image or color on the page needs to extend all the way to the edge of the paper.
Crops or crop marks are a set of marks that define a printed area. Bleed is the term used for the extended area of your artwork that goes beyond its actual size.
The zoom percentage that the document is set to may cause characters to have the top or bottom portion of the screen font cut off. You can adjust the zoom percentage from 75 percent to 100 percent in most cases to correct this visually.
Select the text that you want to return to its default formatting. On the Home tab, in the Font group, click Clear All Formatting. On the Home tab, in the Font group, click Clear All Formatting.
Automatically adjust your table or columns to fit the size of your content by using the AutoFit button. Select your table. On the Layout tab, in the Cell Size group, click AutoFit. Do one of the following. To adjust column width automatically, click AutoFit Contents.
Make sure the Allow Spacing Between Cells check box is selected. In the control to the right of the check box, specify how much space to leave between cells. Click on OK to close the Table Options dialog box. Click on OK to close the Table Properties dialog box.
On the Page Settings tab, under Printers marks, select the Crop marks check box. Under Bleeds, select both Allow bleeds and Bleed marks. Print your publication. Note: Remember that you must use a larger paper size to allow for your bleed and bleed marks.
Right-click the paragraph or subhead that you want to keep with the content that follows it. In the box that opens, select Paragraph. In the Paragraph dialog box, click the Line and Page Breaks tab. In the Pagination section, select the Keep lines together check box, and click OK.
