PDF files opening in the browser instead of the default program was a problem. Even though the default program was set to foxes reader, PDF files would still open in the browser. Looking at the Texas Instruments 555 timer, it opened in the browser. Checking under add-ons, the Arabic PDF reader add-on was causing the issue. Disabling it solved the problem.
