Gary from MacMost.com answers the question of how to edit a PDF on a Mac. He explains that rather than directly editing the PDF, you should edit the source document. In the default Preview app, you can perform actions such as highlighting, annotating, exporting, and rearranging pages, but you cannot edit the actual content of the document. Some limited editing options fall under the Markup category.
