Select the text that you want to format. Go to Home Strikethrough.
To cross out words, start by selecting the word or phrase. Then, go to the Home tab and search for the Font section. Look for the ab button and click on it this is the Strikethrough button. Select the text and youre done!
How to strikethrough in Google Docs Highlight the text you want to cross out. Select Format from the top menu. Choose the first item on the dropdown menu: Text Select Strikethrough
Select Tools, then Comment. This will bring up the Comment Toolbar. Choose the tool. The T with a line through it indicates the Strikethrough Text tool.
With the text or cell selected, click on the Format menu in the menu bar. Hover over Text and then click on Strikethrough. You can also use the keyboard shortcut Alt + Shift + 5 (Cmd + Shift + X on Mac).
If you are a Windows user, go to your Gmail Compose, select the text you want to strikethrough, and press these key combinations Alt+Shift+5. If you are using Mac, do the same, but, use these key combinations CMD+Shift+X to strike through the selected text.
Strikethrough Shortcut Word If you prefer to use your keyboard, the shortcut for Windows is Alt, H, 4. For a Mac, the shortcut is Command + Shift + X. Pressing the shortcut once will apply the strikethrough. Pressing it a second time will remove the strikethrough effect.
Method 1: Using the Menu To Strikethrough Text on Google Docs Highlight the text you want to strikethrough. Open the Format menu. Navigate to the Text options. Select Strikethrough. Youll see an icon with an S and a line through it. Your text is crossed out. Highlight the text you want to strikethrough.
Go to the document you want to edit or open a new document. Highlight the text that needs a strike-through and press Alt, Shift and 5 together. Once you press the shortcut, Docs automatically strikes through the selected text.
What is the shortcut for strikethrough in Google Docs? You can also use a keyboard shortcut to strike your text. To do this, highlight the text you want to cross out and simultaneously press Alt+Shift+5 on your keyboard. To undo a strikethrough, hit the same combination of keys again or undo the action.
