Sometimes when we are copying and pasting text, the text is highlighted. For some reason this highlighting is very difficult to remove in Word. The key to removing the highlight is to use the Merge Formatting or Keep Text Only commands when you first paste the text into your document.
On your computer, open a document, spreadsheet, or presentation. To open or close the comments panel, at the top right, click Show all comments . To hide, minimize, or expand comments next to your document, click View. Comments. Hide comments: Hides all comments and closes any open comments panel.
Look on the right to see if a comment has been linked to the highlighted text. If so, then the only way to remove the highlight is to resolve or delete the comment.
Step 3: Remove Highlighting If you need to remove highlighting, its easy to do. Simply click on the cell or cells you want to remove highlighting from and click the Fill color icon. Then, select No fill at the top. You can also use the Clear formatting option in the toolbar.
How to unhighlight text in Word Launch Word and find the text you want to unhighlight. Click on the highlighter tool and select No color Click and drag over the highlighted text to unhighlight it. Select all the text in the document to unhighlight. To reapply highlighter, change the highlighter to a color.
Remove Highlighting Now, if you wish to make your document simple and clean, without any highlights, follow these steps: Select highlighted text by dragging your mouse over it. Click on the highlight option from the toolbar. When the color panel appears, choose None usually available at the top.
Select the text that you want to remove highlighting from or press Ctrl+A to select all of the text. Go to Home and select the arrow next to Text Highlight Color. Select No Color.
