Wouldnt it be easier if you could do that electronically? In Word, you canusing two features called Track Changes and Comments. Im going to turn on track changes right now so I can show you what I mean. To do this, go to the Review tab then click the Track Changes command. Now any changes I make to the document will appear as markup, which is Words answer to the traditional red pen. For example, when I delete text, it doesnt go away it just gets crossed out. When I add more text, it gets underlined. This lets the owner of the document see what changes Ive made before making them part of the final draft. You can also add comments in the margins by selecting the text you want to comment on then clicking the New Comment command. Review, accept, or reject changes Click or tap at the beginning of the document. On the Review tab, select Track Changes. Select Accept or Reject. As you accept or reject changes, Word will move to the next change. Repeat until youve reviewed all of the changes in your document.
How to disable the review markup area? Open your Word document. In the panel on the right, you can see the comments area. Next, go to Review; and All Markup Menu. In the dropdown menu, multiple options like All Marked, Simple Marked, Original, and No Marked. Print your document.
On the Review tab, in the Comments group, click the arrow below Delete, then click Delete All Comments in Document. To use Document Inspector to find remaining tracked changes, comments, and other information you may not want to share, on the Review tab, click Check for Issues, then Inspect Document.
Tracking is a feature available in Premium licenses. This functionality allows to: Enable and disable tracking in a document created from scratch or in an already existing DOCX. Track added, replaced and deleted contents with the compatible methods.
Click on Accept, under Changes, then use the arrow to navigate to and select Accept All Changes in Document, if you approve of all of the changes and want Word to automatically accept them in their entirety. By accepting all of the changes, Word removes their markups.
You can also turn off the display of markup by using the Display for Review drop-down list, which is in the Tracking group, right above the Show Markup drop-down list. Using the Display for Review drop-down list, choose either No Markup or Original Document, and the markup all disappears.
Final Without Markup Start Microsoft Word, click the File tab and open the document with the markup you want to hide. Click the Review tab. Click the drop-down arrow in the Final: Show Markup menu in the Tracking section of the ribbon. Click the Final option.
