This is Taylor from Nuts and Bolts Speed Training with another PowerPoint tip to help you make happy hour. How to quickly add and remove page numbers and this isnt as straightforward as it should be. And here in PowerPoint I have a deck and what I want to do is add page numbers to the upper right hand corner of the slide and have them automatically applied to all of the slides within this deck. And to do that first I need navigate to the slide master view of my deck. So on my keyboard Ill hit alt W M to flip over to the slide master view. To add page numbers, I need to navigate to the parent slide, which is the bigger slide up top. And from the slide master tab I want to select master layout. And in the master layout I want to select slide number and hit okay and you can see my page number added there at the bottom. Ill grab the page number. Here with my mouse, Ill drag it up into position use some of my smart guides. Ill just quickly resize it hit control E to center it hit esca

Right-click the number you want to change. Click Set Numbering Value. In the Set value to: box, use the arrows to change the value to the number you want.
Click Home, click the arrow next to either the Bullets or Numbering button, and then click Bullets and Numbering. Tip: To quickly change the style of a bulleted or numbered list, just click the style you want in the list that appears when you click the arrow next to Bullets or Numbering.
On the View menu, select Master Slide Master. At the top of the thumbnail pane, click the slide master to select it. Highlight any footer elements (such as date, footer text, or slide number) on the slide master, and then on the Home tab, choose the font formatting you want in the Font and Paragraph groups.
With Slide Master, any of the formatting for your presentation can be changed at once and then applied to all slides immediately; for example, you can change the font of the title or text, the type of bullets used, add an image to the background, add an image to every slide, etc.
Note: To select multiple slides, press and hold the Ctrl key, and then click each slide. On the Home tab, in the Slides group, click Layout, and then select the layout that you updated in Slide Master View.
On the Insert tab, in the Text group, click Text Box, and then drag to draw the text box on the slide master where you want the slide number to appear all slides. With the cursor still in the text box, on the Insert tab, in the Text group, click Slide Number.
Re-position the slide numbers On the View tab, select Slide Master. At the top of the thumbnail pane, select the Slide Master thumbnail. In the Slide pane, select and hold the page number placeholder until you see the four-headed arrow, and drag it to a new location. When youre finished, select Close Master View.
