okay so um you may be having issues with trying to open up a csv file that actually displays um a font which is not coming displaying correctly so here i have some russian acrylic fonts that are not being displayed as they should so what ive done is thats a csv file so what ill do is ill open up excel open a blank document and then ill go to data and ill go from text and then ill find um the file open and here uh its its coming through this is unicode utf-8 ill press next ill just need to because its a csv comma i think theres a csv um added variable or something but in here so im just going to click comma as a delimiter and press next and then finish and then okay and here we go so this is all in russian all right so thats how you open a csv and in excel this is windows 2016 version of excel so thats thats how you can do it hopefully that puts you on the right track okay cheers bye

Procedure: In a new Worksheet in Excel click Data. Click From Text. Select the CSV. Click Get Data. Under File origin select Unicode (UTF-8) Select the Delimitated option. Click Next. Under Delimiters ensure Comma is the only one selected.
While a CSV file cannot contain font information, it can, in principle, be in any text encoding1. So, in principle, your CSV file could be saved in a Unicode encoding, such as UTF-8 or UTF-16. In principle, this will work. Unicode encodings cover everything that any other encoding covers.
Chances are, you will run into special characters within your data. So if youre working with CSV, what special characters are actually supported? Technically, all of them! There are no specified limits of what characters can be used in a CSV file.
Saving in Microsoft Excel Open a . CSV document in Microsoft Excel. Click File. Select Save As Select File Type as CSV UTF-8 (Comma delimited) (. csv). Click Save. If prompted, choose Keep Current Format.
Special characters of comma (,) quotation mark, and new line character may cause issues with a CSV import. If you get an import error, open the CSV file in Excel and use the Find Replace tool to change or remove these specific special characters.
Data in CSV have comma as a column separator, and every row is in the new line. (1) Select all data in the file (use keyboard shortcut CTRL + A), (2) right-click the selected text, and (3) choose Copy.
Displaying Special Characters in . CSV Files Exported From Employee Email In Excel, navigate to Data Import External Data Import Data/Import From Text and choose 65001 Unicode (UTF-8). Save your settings then re-open your file to confirm that special characters are displayed correctly.
View Unicode characters in Excel: Open Excel from your menu or Desktop. Navigate to Data Get External Data From Text. Navigate to the location of the CSV file you want to import. Choose the Delimited option. Set the character encoding File Origin to 65001: Unicode (UTF-8) from the drop-down list.
