[Music] hello and welcome to marfolio trace in this video well learn how to copy and paste layers from one project to another and keep the scale lets get started so what im going to do is create a new project that is a custom size and a custom scale so i hit custom to begin im going to select blank background im going to pick my page size which ill set to 24 by 36 and ill set my scale to one inch equals one foot now i have this project created and you can see my page size is here and what im going to do is draw a line that is to a known dimension so i grab my pen here i will make this line 10 feet long so we can see that on my ruler is 10 feet ill even mark it 10 feet just to be sure and so what im going to do to copy this layer is im simply going to tap on the layer actions panel here im going to tap copy and youll see that that layer has appeared at the top of my layer toolbar now i can go and create a new project maybe ill create another project but i will pick a diff
