IF you want to copy multiple cells, click and drag until all the cells you intend to copy are selected. The next step is to actually copy the cells. You can do this by pressing control+C on a PC (command+C on a Mac), or by clicking the Copy button in the ribbon at the top of the Excel window.
To copy a cell without copying its borders, follow these steps: Right-click the cell you want to copy (here, B2), and choose Copy (or use the keyboard shortcut CTRL + C). Right-click the cell where you want to paste (B4), and choose Paste Special. In the Paste Special window, check All except borders, and click OK.
You just need to copy the needed data, select Paste Special, you will see the Formats and select the radio button which allowed you for grouping.
To copy cell formatting with the Excel Format Painter, just do the following: Select the cell with the formatting you want to copy. On the Home tab, in the Clipboard group, click the Format Painter button. The pointer will change to a paint brush. Move to the cell where you want to apply the formatting and click on it.
Do one of the following: To move rows or columns, on the Home tab, in the Clipboard group, click Cut. or press CTRL+X. To copy rows or columns, on the Home tab, in the Clipboard group, click Copy. or press CTRL+C.
In case you prefer using the keyboard while working with Excel, you can use the below shortcut: Control + C (Windows) or Command + C (Mac) to copy range of cells. Control + V (Windows) or Command + V (Mac) to paste in the destination cells.
Copy and paste these styles with Excels Format Painter tool. Click the upper-left cell in the range with the border you want to copy. Drag your cursor to the ranges lower-right cell, selecting the entire range. Click Home on Excels menu bar. Click the Format Painter icon from the ribbons Clipboard tab.
To use the fill handle to enter data following a custom pattern, start the pattern by entering data in at least two cells. Then, select those cells, and drag the fill handle to repeat the pattern.
