welcome back to the channel and welcome back to google docs today we want to outline part of our chapter and we want to do that using a couple of features that we havent used before because were talking about trying to be organized and this would help us be more organized and its going to show up again in several of our future chapters and it might help you in other classes doing other things to make some really broad changes to your entire document so here we are heres our content weve got these four subheadings in this section on these pages ive already typed them up and what i want to do is be able to make big changes and create an outline over here on the side using their text feature so to start with that i get to make some choices and decide how i want to format things so im going to start with the title because thats a nice place to start and im going to go up here where it currently says normal text this is what it has said all year as weve been using this and were

While editing Google Docs Document Outline, you can disable or remove specific headings from the index. Step 1 Scroll your mouse to the Outline and hover over the particular heading you want to remove. Step 2 Click the cross (x) sign at the side of the heading.
Click the blue Export/Print icon button at the top of the screen. Select Outline only from the menu to export just the outline structure, or Outline with notecards to export the outline with the linked notecard content included. Opens a new browser tab with your outlines content.
Work with a document outline Open a document in the Google Docs app. To open the outline, tap More . Tap Document outline. The outline will open on the bottom. To close, go to the left side of Document outline and tap Close document outline .
Format the border: On the menu bar, click Format and select Paragraph styles. In the new drop-down menu that appears, click Borders and shading. Select the border position: Under the Position section, ensure that the border is on the top, bottom, right, and left.
Tap Style and choose a heading. Tap the three-dot icon in the upper-right corner and go to Document outline.
Select the paragraph you want to change. Click Format, Paragraph styles and then Borders and shading. In the window that opens, change how you want your paragraph to look. To remove paragraph borders or shading, click Reset.
You can trim the edges of an image or remove an unwanted section. On your computer, open a document or presentation. Click on the image you want to crop. Click Crop . Around the border, click and drag the blue squares into the shape you want.
To properly re-add the heading to the outline, select it, right-click it, and select Add to document outline in the bottom of the drop-down menu.
