hi my name is Cathy and Im gonna show you how to insert footers on the bottom of your page in every page of your document in Microsoft Word footers are a great way to keep your document organized and keep a title on the bottom of every page of your document if you open up your pages and you click on the page scroll down to the bottom of the first page and double click on the very bottom of the page youll open the footer if you scroll up to the top and go to the header and footer menu youll see that there are options for your footers go back down to your footer and type in whatever your footer would be for me Im going to use an example called document X this way itll show me that the document that Im working in is document X and it will appear on the bottom of every page if I go to the next page Im going to check that the footer is also there if I scroll down I find that its not theres a solution to this you can go up to the top of the page into the options and if your box is

To edit the footer in your PowerPoint slides, youll need to access the Header Footer menu from the Insert tab. With the Header Footer tool, you can make your footer appear on just one slide, every slide in your presentation, or even every slide except the title slide.
If you open the document and press Ctrl-A, then Alt-P-S-P to open the Page Layout dialogue and choose the Layout tab and either of the Different odd and even or Different first page boxes is checked or shaded, thats probably part of your issue.
Select all the elements (text and graphics) in the header or footer. Press Ctrl+C. This copies the header or footer information to the Clipboard. Select the second document.
Double-click the header or footer on the first page of the new section. Click Link to Previous to turn it off and unlink the header or footer from the previous section.
