Use sans-serif fonts like Helvetica, Calibri, Myriad Pro and Arial.
Use sans-serif typefaces. Serif typefaces (like Times New Roman or Georgia) bring you into a reading flow thats why theyre great for setting long texts like novels or newspaper articles. For data visualizations, sans-serif (without serifs) typefaces are most often the better choice.

Choosing fonts The basic choice for exhibition fonts should be between letters with serifs (dangly bits) and letters without (sans) serifs. Serif fonts (eg Times New Roman) are easier to read than sans fonts (eg Arial), but have a more old fashioned look, so it may be more appropriate to use a sans font.
Best fonts for reading Times New Roman. For many, Times New Roman has become the default font for print and web documents. Verdana. Arial. Tahoma. Helvetica. Calibri. Verdana. Lucida Sans (PC) or Lucida Grande (Mac)
Select each font you want to copy. (Be sure to select all versions of the fonts you used. For example, also send Times Bold, Times Italic, and Times BoldItalic when sending Times Roman.) Next, right-click (and hold) on one of the selected fonts and drag onto the folder you created on the desktop.
What Font Do Museums Use. Use sans serif typefaces, but make certain they are designed to be readable. A variety of typefaces, such as Source Sans Pro, Roboto, PT Sans, Lato, Open Sans, and Work Sans, are excellent choices.
