In the Preview app on your Mac, open a PDF or image. Move the pointer next to the documents name in the title bar, click the arrow that appears, then select or deselect the Locked checkbox.
Password-protect a PDF in Preview on Mac In the Preview app on your Mac, open a PDF. Choose File Export. Click the Permissions button, then do any of the following: Enter a password in the Owner Password section, then retype it to verify. Click Apply, then click Save.
In the TextEdit app on your Mac, do any of the following: Make a document read-only: Choose Format Prevent Editing.
How to Flatten PDF Forms Open fillable form. Add appropriate data. Right click on document and select Print. Select the PDF printer. ( Select OK. Specify location to save the printed, flattened version of the form. Select Save. File the flattened form in CM/ECF.
Open PDFs and make notes with Preview. Select Tools. Select Annotate. Tap the text icon. Place your cursor on the PDF where you want to add new text. Type the text. Use the text icon to change the font, size, and style of the text.
Move the pointer next to the documents name in the title bar, click the arrow that appears, then select or deselect the Locked checkbox. Tip: To lock or unlock a file in the Finder, select the file, choose File Get Info, then select or deselect the Locked checkbox.
How to convert a PDF to read-only on Mac and Windows. Right-click your PDF. Select Properties. Choose Read-only. Click OK.
Choose File Print. Click the PDF button or click the down arrow to open the PDF pop-up menu, then choose Save as PDF. Choose a name and location for the PDF file. Enter the information you want in the Title, Author, Subject, and Keywords fields.
