The Permissions setting controls restrictions that can be placed on the PDF file. To prevent printing of a PDF file, uncheck the Allow the document to be printed option.
Step 1: Hit Ctrl + P on your keyboard or click on File and then select Print. Step 2: This will open the print window. Click on the drop-down menu under Printer and from the options presented select Microsoft Print to PDF. Here, you can also select other settings such as the number of pages to print.
Select Print from the menu. In the print settings, choose Save as PDF from the Destination drop-down menu. Click More settings and scroll down to the Options section. Enter a strong and unique password in the Document open password box something only you would know.
Select Settings from the drop down and click on Site permissions from the left pane. Scroll down and click on PDF documents, Toggle the switch to On for Always open PDF files externally.
How to Stop Microsoft Edge from Opening PDFs Open Microsoft Edge and click the three dots in the top right corner. From the drop-down menu, select Settings. Then, select Site permissions and then PDF documents. Toggle off the option that says Always open PDF files externally.
