Importing PDF or Illustrator files in AutoCAD is simple, as they are vector files made of lines and geometries. You can import them as DWG files and work on them like any other CAD file. In this video tutorial, the process of importing and scaling a vector file in AutoCAD is demonstrated. However, importing scanned PDF or images, known as raster files, requires creating lines and geometries from pixels. To do this, a free software called Inkscape is used as an alternative to docHub Illustrator. Download Inkscape for free and follow the step-by-step method shown in the video for importing raster files into AutoCAD.
