Open a PDF file containing a scanned image in Acrobat for Mac or PC. Click on the Edit PDF tool in the right pane. Acrobat automatically applies optical character recognition (OCR) to your document and converts it to a fully editable copy of your PDF. Click the text element you wish to edit and start typing.

If PDF to Word is not converting properly, you should consider whether your PDF reader is out of date. If yes, you should update it to the latest version. Here we take docHub as an example. To do this work, you can launch docHub, click on Menu on the top toolbar, and select Help Check for updates.
Simply upload your scanned or image PDF, click on Convert to initiate the conversion, and download your editable TXT file upon completion. Note: The advanced OCR (Optical Character Recognition) functionality will automatically recognize text within your scanned PDF and extract it into an editable Text file.
To convert a PDF file to a Word document this way, follow the steps below: Right click on the PDF. Select Open With Find the Microsoft Word button. Edit the text in Microsoft Word. Save the file back to a PDF format. Open Microsoft Word. Click the File button. Convert the PDF to a Word document.
Look for the Export PDF option in the Create Edit area, and then click Open. Select Microsoft Word from the drop-down menu and click Export. Locate the PDF file you wish to save in the file explorer by scrolling through the folders or searching for it by name. Select the file and click the Open button.
