How can I convert PDF files to ODT? Use the file selection box to select the PDF files you want to convert to ODT files. Start converting your PDFs to ODT by clicking on the Convert button. Save the converted PDF files as ODT by using the download button.
Here is a step-by-step guide on how to import PDF to Open Office. Visit the website extensions.openoffice.org to download the PDF Import Extension. Launch the OpenOffice software and the extension. Click on Enable when prompted to complete the PDF Import Extension installation. Click on Menu File Open.

Using Windows to export PDF files. To Edit PDF in OpenOffice PDF Editor, you have to download the Oracle PDF Import Extension. You will not be able to retain the original document formatting if you use the OpenOffice PDF Editor to edit PDF because you have to convert the PDF file into a Word file.
You can press ctrl+a to select ctrl+c to copy and switch to your writer document and press ctrl + v to paste.
You cannot view or edit a PDF file with AOO or LO alone. It is best to view PDFs with a PDF Viewer like docHub Reader or Foxit Reader. OpenOffice alone cannot view PDFs and viewing with the Oracle PDF Import Extension below is not as good as with a proper PDF viewer.
