Unfortunately, there is no built-in function or button in Excel by default to insert a watermark in an Excel worksheet. Instead, we have to click Header Footer section in the Insert tab.
Press and hold the Ctrl key, click the watermark text box, and then click Format Text Effects. The Format Shape task pane appears on the right side. Click the Text Fill Outline tab. Under Text Fill, find the Transparency slider.
Under Scaling, select the Fit to option. Add 1 to Pages in width and 1 to Tall. Now head to File Save As. Select PDF for your format and adjust the other settings to your preferences.
Using WordArt as Watermark in Excel 2010 You can also use WordArt as a watermark on your Excel 2010. Click on Insert WordArt. Select the format you want to use and type the text. From the small text editor shortcut that appears, you can change the size of the font you want to use.
