you hello everyone how are you doing this is MD tank here with another quick tutorial in todays tutorial Im going to show you guys how to either hide or unhide all your comments when youre moving your cursor around cells containing comments within the Excel application so this should hopefully be a pretty straightforward tutorial and without further ado lets jump right into it so were going to start as you can see I currently do not have them visible so yes you have to hover over the little red checkmark in order to access the comment so if you want them permanently shown on the spreadsheet were gonna start by opening up the review tab and then you want a love quick ones show all comments so now we clicked out of it and we went over and did anything else one over another sheet doesnt really matter the comments will still be visible here now if you wanted to hide them very simple just go up to the review tab unselect show all comments and there we go were back to where we start

Hiding Text Then, go to the Format menu and select Cells. In the Number tab, select Custom from the list of options. In the box next to Type, enter a space followed by a semicolon ( ; ). This will cause the text in the selected cells to be hidden when the worksheet is viewed.
Select a cell or cells. Press Delete to remove the cell content. [optional] Change the cell background to Black for that Redacted look. To do that individually choose the cells then Home | Cells | Format | Format Cells | Fill and choose Black.
Hide and mask cell contents with asterisk with Format Cells Select the cells you want to hide with asterisk, then right click to select Format Cells from the context menu. In the Format Cells dialog, under Number tab, select Custom from Category list, and then type ;;;** into the textbox under Type.
Right click on the column you want to hide and then click Hide. You can hide multiple columns this way if you have them all selected. One last look at the data set. If you want to see the hidden information again, simply right click on the space the column should be and click Unhide.
Restrict data entry On the Data tab, click Data Validation Data Validation. Note: If the validation command is unavailable, the sheet might be protected or the workbook might be shared. You cannot change data validation settings if your workbook is shared or your sheet is protected.
Hide sheets from view Open a spreadsheet in the Google Sheets app. Tap the sheet you want to hide. On the sheet tab, tap the Down arrow. . Tap Hide. This option wont show if your spreadsheet doesnt contain two or more sheets. Your sheet will be hidden from view.
On the Home tab, in the Cells group, click Format Hide Unhide Hide Columns.
Add a watermark to a sheet in Excel for Mac On the Insert tab, click the WordArt button, and then choose this option: In the text box, enter Confidential or any of your own text in place of Your Text Here. Rotate and move the watermark as you see fit.
