How to compress PDFs on your PC. Launch Acrobat Pro and open the Optimize PDF tool. Locate your PDF and click Open. Click the Reduce File Size button on the top menu. Select the compatibility option you want and click OK. Rename your file (if necessary) and click Save.
Open a PDF in Acrobat. From the hamburger menu (Windows) or the File menu (macOS), select Save As Other Reduced Size PDF. Choose the location to save the file and select Save.
In the Preview app on your Mac, open the PDF that you want to compress. Choose File Export. Click the Quartz Filter pop-up menu, then choose Reduce File Size.
How to make a PDF file size smaller. Visit Acrobat online services and navigate to the Compress page by clicking Compress in the menu. Click or tap on the Select a file button. Choose the file from your device or from a cloud service like Google Drive. Your file will upload and compress.
Go to the website and log in to your account. Click on Compress PDF in the main menu. Select the PDF file you want to compress by clicking on the Choose File button. Once youve selected the file, click on the Compress button.
Sign in to a service such as docHub, Apple, or Google to continue to your file. When the thumbnails of the pages appear, drag and drop the thumbnails to reorder in your desired sequence. Click the Save button and then rename the file. Download the PDF or share it via a link or email.
Preview Open Preview, click File and Open, then locate your PDF. Click Open. Click File, then Export. Click the location on your hard drive where you want to save the PDF, such as Desktop or Documents. Click the Quartz Filter tab. Click Reduce file size. Click Save.
Optimize a PDF (Acrobat Pro) Open a PDF in Acrobat. Choose File Reduce File Size or Compress PDF. Note: Choose the location to save the file and click Save. Acrobat displays a message showing the successful reduction in PDF size.
