Hi, this is Mike. I will show you the simplest way to compress a folder of photos without special software. It only takes 2-3 minutes and works on multiple Windows computers. I haven't tested it on a Mac. Right-click on the folder to check its size (e.g. 82.3 MB) and create a new folder called "pics" to contain compressed pictures. Open the photo folder, select all pictures with Ctrl+A, copy them, and paste into the "pics" folder. Right-click on the "pics" folder, select "Send to" and "Compressed (zipped) folder" to create a compressed file. That's it!
