The JPEG image quality is set to [Fine]. Extra fine: File format: JPEG. The image is compressed in the JPEG format and recorded using a higher quality than with [Fine].
As a general benchmark: 90% JPEG quality gives a very high-quality image while gaining a docHub reduction on the original 100% file size. 80% JPEG quality gives a greater file size reduction with almost no loss in quality.
The main advantage of shooting in RAW is that you end up with high-quality files to edit into the best possible image. Capturing and storing all the details that pass through your cameras sensors means RAW files contain a wider dynamic range and far greater color spectrum than JPEGs.
Higher image quality translates into more available data when it comes to photo editing, giving RAWs a definitive edge over JPEGs. Editing programs like docHub Camera RAW, Bridge, or Lightroom are built for fine-tuning RAWs into polished final photos.
MENU (Camera Settings) [ Quality] desired setting.
Fine and Normal are different compression settings for JPEG images captured on a camera. Fine offers the better quality, but larger file size, whereas as Normal occupies less space on a memory card, but is lower quality.
The average uncompressed RAW file is about 30 MB, which is about the size of a high-quality JPEG. You can fit about 4,300 pictures in 128GB of storage. So you can keep the photos on your SD card or move them to a computer or external hard drive to free up space.
Open your camera application. You will see the Settings icon in the bottom left click. Select resolutions.
File size information for RAW files taken with a full-frame camera: Uncompressed 100 MB. Lossless compression 62 MB. Compressed 52 MB.
Go RAW for Detailed, Stylized Shots The RAW format is ideal if you are shooting with the intent of editing the images later. Shots where you are trying to capture a lot of detail or color, and images where you want to tweak light and shadow, should be shot in RAW.
