here in indesign i have a blank document open and we can see it and its file size just over here so command or control d to place an image lets drag that out like so and control s to save and we can already see our indesign file is definitely increasing in size okay lets delete that image and again save yet oddly our indesign file is still pretty big especially when you consider the fact that this thing is still effectively blank this is just what indesign files do they progressively increase in size over time even when you havent really done much to the file so heres my tip still regularly save your file but every now and then throw in a save as same file name same location save replace and check it out our file size is pretty much back where it was when we started i hope that helps catch you later
