To set an image as the background for Card in Android Jetpack Compose, specify the first element in the Card with Image composable, and the next with the content you would like to display on the card.
The following images will help you understand the process better: Take the image that you want to use as a background and paste it inside the drawable folder of your app. Go to the xml layout file of your activity and the following code to the parent layout: android:background=@drawable/background. Background is changed!!
Use the Image composable to display a graphic on screen. To load an image (for example: PNG, JPEG, WEBP) or vector resource from the disk, use the painterResource API with your image reference. You dont need to know the type of the asset, just use painterResource in Image or paint modifiers.
We can place text over Image using three composables- Box, Text, and Image. See the code snippet given below. We wrapped the Image and Text with the Box container. The Text will be aligned to the bottom of the Image.
In the Android View-based system, ImageView can have background and foreground drawable resources like this, To achieve the same using Jetpack Compose, we can use the Paint modifier like this, As this is a Modifier , it can be used for Composables other Image like Box , Row , Column , etc as well.
