uh hello there and welcome back to my new video in this video im going to show you how to use a columns and rows with a jetpack compose and in the previous video we have written our first composable function and now it is time to get introduced with some layout composables which will allow us to place its children in a vertical or a horizontal orientation now in the traditional view system we have a different kind of layouts like a linear layout constraint layout frame layout and so on while with the jetpack compose its a little different so the main layout composables that we have are a colon and row and those two composables are very similar to the linear layout which we have in our view system so a column composable function will add all its children composables in a vertical orientation while a row will add all its children composables in a horizontal orientation okay so enough theory lets see some practical examples so here i have created the one a simple project using a compo

Jetpack Compose is a modern declarative UI Toolkit for Android. Compose makes it easier to write and maintain your app UI by providing a declarative API that allows you to render your app UI without imperatively mutating frontend views.
In View system, we can make text scrollable by using: android:scrollbars = vertical and textview.

A LazyColumn is a vertically scrolling list that only composes and lays out the currently visible items. Its similar to a Recyclerview in the classic Android View system. A Column will show each child below the previous children. Its similar to a LinearLayout with vertical orientation.
The following layouts are available in Jetpack Compose: The Box layout stacks every child on top of each other. The Column layout stacks children in a vertical sequence.
We can make the Column scrollable by using the verticalScroll() modifier.

In many cases, you can just use Composes standard layout elements. Use Column to place items vertically on the screen. Similarly, use Row to place items horizontally on the screen. Both Column and Row support configuring the alignment of the elements they contain.
