A LazyColumn is a vertically scrolling list that only composes and lays out the currently visible items. Its similar to a Recyclerview in the classic Android View system. A Column will show each child below the previous children. Its similar to a LinearLayout with vertical orientation.
Components of Layout Manager Component Tree: Displays the component hierarchical relationships within the layout. Design Editor: Contains Blueprint View and Design View for editing the layout. Display Mode: Display the layout in either design, split, or code mode.
As the name suggests, the difference between LazyColumn and LazyRow is the orientation in which they lay out their items and scroll. LazyColumn produces a vertically scrolling list, and LazyRow produces a horizontally scrolling list.
The following layouts are available in Jetpack Compose: The Box layout stacks every child on top of each other. The Column layout stacks children in a vertical sequence. The Row layout stacks children in a horizontal sequence.
