Using Baking Soda to Remove Stains When mixed with water, baking soda is an effective stain remover that you can use on almost any stain to lift the dirt and leave the stained item looking clean and fresh again. Mix the baking soda with some water to make a paste and apply it to the stain you wish to remove.
Removing Stains from Any Kind of Paper For water-based spots like tea or coffee, moisten a cloth with water and gently dab the stain. If its still there, dab the area with one part white vinegar and one part water. For oil stains, place the paper between paper towels and stack heavy books on top.
Baking soda is unlikely to damage your colored clothes, so long as they are not made out of a delicate fiber such as wool or silk. Everyday materials such as polyester or cotton hold their color better than delicates, making them easier to wash with baking soda and water.
Baking soda is a very versatile product as it removes yellow stains on the collar. Then mix 4 tablespoons of baking soda with 12 cup of water, stir well, then apply to the stained area and rub gently, leave it for about 20 minutes before washing.
Residual oil and grease may be at least partially removed with paper towel and a warm iron. Some stains can often be improved with a kneaded rubber eraser or Absorene Paper and Book Cleaner. Knead a small amount of Absorene in your hand until it is soft and rub it lightly in one direction over the soiled surface.
One is to make a paste of baking soda and warm water. Apply this to the stain, scrub it with a toothbrush or your finger, then thoroughly rinse the garment and launder it as usual. Another natural method is to soak the clothing in a bowl of vinegar, then wash the item as normal.
Vinegar is better for removing odors from clothes, while baking soda is better for removing dirt and stains.
Simply sprinkle baking soda onto a wet stain, leave it overnight and youll be surprised by the results. Not only will the stain likely be gone, but so too will any related odors no need for an additional paste. As long as you cover the entire area of the stain with baking soda, it should do the trick!
