Rubbing alcohol or vodka can safely remove sticker residue from plastic, wood, glass, or fabric. Soak the adhesive with your alcohol, let it sit for a couple of minutes, and then wipe it off.

This product is effective in removing glue residues left behind from labels as common adhesives used are soluble in alcohol. As a result of soaking the label in rubbing alcohol, the glue is completely dissolved and can easily be wiped away.
Soak a paper towel in warm white vinegar or room temperature rubbing alcohol, then lay it over the sticker residue for about five minutes. This will soften the residue so you can scrape it away with a credit card. WD-40 is also effective for removing sticker residue.

Begin by rubbing either mineral oil, baby oil or olive oil onto the residue with a cloth. Allow the oil to soak into the label - between five and 10 minutes should do the trick. Then, using the cloth, wipe across the residue to start removing it. Repeat this process for a second time.
