Common stains on natural stone and tiles – Water Stains This is most common with porous stone surfaces such as limestone, flagstones, sandstone and terracotta, but water stains can also affect glazed ceramics, porcelain and polished surfaces such as porcelain, granite and marble.
Removing Stains from Limestone You have options. You may be able to remove the stain with a simple poultice of flour and hydrogen peroxide. Use a small amount of hydrogen peroxide to create a paste, which you will apply and allow to dry over the stain. Brush off the poultice, and the stain should be gone.

Try Baking Soda + Vinegar Sprinkle a layer of dry baking soda on the stain. Then, mix a cup of white vinegar with a cup of water and a few drops of dish soap in a spray bottle. The vinegar will foam when it hits the baking soda which will clean the stain.
Pour some hot water over the stain to moisten the area. Add a bit of mild dish soap to the wet spot. Start scrubbing the area with a stiff-bristled scrub brush until the water and dish soap mix into a light lather. Keep scrubbing until the paint stain begins to dissolve.
PROCEDURE: Make a paste of baking soda and water and apply to the stain. When the baking soda paste is dry, brush or vacuum the area. Then dip a sponge in alcohol and blot the remaining stain.
A dish soap, like Dawn, is a safe place to start. The surfactants in dish soaps are designed to remove oil and grease, they're gentle enough to be used without issue on your pavers. In a bowl or bucket, mix the soap with water and pour it onto the stain and agitate. Rinse and repeat if needed.
While it's not generally wise to use abrasive cleaners on your natural stone countertops, you can safely treat stubborn hard water stains with a paste of baking soda and water. Simply apply it to the affected area and scrub it with a soft-bristled brush, then rinse with water and dry with a microfiber cloth.
If the counter has severe stains, you can remove them with hydrogen peroxide and flour mixture, which is called a poultice. To make the solution, combine ¾ cup of flour and hydrogen peroxide. Then, mix both ingredients until they form a paste. Finally, rub the paste on the stain and let it dry.
