If the data is still displayed in a single column, then the issue is most likely with the CSV file itself. If the issue is with Excel, you can try changing the delimiter. Go to File > Options > Advanced. Under General, look for the option that says "Use system separators".
A CSV (Comma Separated Values) file is a special type of file that you can create or edit in Excel. Rather than storing information in columns, CSV files store information separated by commas.
Using the "From Text" feature in Excel Click the Data tab, then From Text. Select the CSV file that has the data clustered into one column. Select Delimited, then make sure the File Origin is Unicode UTF-8. Select Comma (this is Affinity's default list separator).
Use a text editor to edit your CSV file If you don't have a spreadsheet program, then you can edit CSV files using a text editor.
The Connector Tool exports and accepts imports in the CSV file type....Saving the file Click the File tab in Excel and select Save. Choose a location to store the file on your computer. Be sure the Save as type option selected is CSV (Comma delimited). Click the Save button.
Click on “Save As” from the “File” or “Windows Button” menu in Excel then choose the “Other Formats” option and choose “Unicode Text” as the file type. Type a file name into the “File Name” box and click on “Save.” This will create a text file containing the data but with the CSV formatting stripped out.
Opening the file If you double-click the file on your computer, Excel will try and auto-format the data in the CSV file, which can cause issues when importing your data back into Asset Essentials. Open Microsoft Excel and click the Blank Workbook option if prompted. Click the Data tab, and select From Text.
Avoiding formatting change on CSV on Microsoft 365 or Excel 2019 is fairly easy. Activate the Insert tab in the Ribbon. Click From Text/CSV in the Get & Transform Data section. Select your file. You will see the preview of your data. Either click Load to import the data.
CSV files, do the following: Open a . CSV document in Microsoft Excel. Click File. Select Save As... Select File Type as CSV UTF-8 (Comma delimited) (. csv). Click Save. If prompted, choose Keep Current Format.
Another way to align cells when importing from CSV in Excel is to use the Data Formats button. This button can be found under the Home tab, in the Number group. Click on the small arrow next to the Data Formats button and select More Number Formats from the drop-down menu.
