Skill Level C: for occupations that only require a high school diploma or job-specific training such as long haul truck drivers, hospitality occupations, etc. Skill Level D: for labor occupations that only require job-specific skills such as fruit pickers, cleaning staff, oil field workers.
Under the new system, occupations in TEERs 0, 1, 2, and 3 will be eligible for Express Entry programs.
Skill Level O (Management Jobs) Skill Level A (Professional Jobs that usually require a University Degree) Skill Level B (Technical Jobs and skilled trade jobs that usually require a College Diploma) Skill level C (Intermediate Jobs that usually require High School Education or specific job training).
NOC Skill Level B corresponds to occupation or skilled trades that require specific technical training or a college diploma like chefs, electricians, plumbers, welders, etc.
NOC Skill Level A corresponds to occupations like doctors, dentists, architects, etc. These occupations usually require a degree from an accredited university.
To get a PR for NOC C or D skill level, you will have to go through a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). NOC C or D skill levels are not eligible for Express Entry system. PNPs allow province and territories to make their own immigration programs depending on their economic and population growth strategies.
C Occupations usually require secondary school and/or occupation-specific training. 4 or 5. Some secondary school education, with up to two years of on-the-job training, training courses, or specific work experience. D On-the-job training is usually provided for occupations.
NOC or Skill Level B jobs are jobs in either technical or skilled trades. This usually requires a college diploma, specialized training or an apprenticeship. If you plan on applying for a Canadian work visa, you will have to meet the criteria set by the IRCC.
NOC C occupations may require a high school diploma, while NOC D occupations generally call for on-the-job training. Some examples of NOC C occupations include butchers, truck drivers, and servers, while NOC D occupations include fruit pickers, cleaning staff, and oil field workers.
You also need an eligible job offer that is full-time, permanent, and non seasonal. The job offer can be in an NOC 0, A, B, or C occupation. Successful applicants not only get Canadian permanent residence with a job offer, but also an individualized settlement plan.
