TXT records are a type of Domain Name System (DNS) record in text format, which contain information about your domain. TXT records also have information that helps external network servers and services handle outgoing email from your domain.
Step by step create a TXT record inside the zone file: Login to your DNS server as administrator. Launch the DNS Management Console. On DNS Manager window, expand your DNS name. Right click on your domain name and select Other New Records to add a new TXT record.
TXT record: This is used to store text-based information of the outside domain for the configured domain. This is useful in identifying ownership of a domain. MX record: This is used in mail delivery based on the configured domain. This is useful in redirecting email requests to the mail servers for a specified domain.
TXT records are commonly used for Google Verification. The TXT Value is what the record points to, but these records arent used to direct any traffic. Instead, theyre used to provide needed information to outside sources. The First record is used for SPF (Sender Policy Framework) records.
Log into your domain-hosting account. Go to your domains DNS settings page, which may be called something like Domain Name Management or Name Server Settings. Locate the TXT records form for your domain on this page.
Dig command stands for Domain Information Groper and its used to check the DNS records. dig yourdomainname.com TXT command is used to check the TXT record using Linux terminal.

Open a command prompt by navigating to Start Type here to search cmd Open. Type nslookup -q=txt example.com and hit [enter] to get the TXT records for example.com . The TXT records are listed below the Non-authoritative answer heading.
