Right-click on the image file and select Properties. Click the Details tab at the top bar. Scroll down to find image Dimensions and the DPI Resolution.
To find out an images DPI in Windows, right-click on the file name and select Properties Details. Youll see the DPI in the Image section, labeled Horizontal Resolution and Vertical Resolution.
There are two ways to measure image resolution: PPI Pixels Per Inch, this is a measurement for the detail shown on a computer screen or digital image. Anything 300 PPI or over is usually considered to be high resolution. DPI Dots Per Inch, is a measurement to determine the resolution of an image for printing.
On a Windows computer, simply right-click on your JPEG file and select Properties. Next, select Details. Under Details you can see your image resolution.

What is a high resolution image? A high resolution image is one thats at least 300 DPI, or dots per inch. As in the printer spits out 300 little dots of ink for every inch of your photograph.
300 DPI resolution means that an image has 300 dots per inch its a minimum requirement for good quality.
In the Properties window, click the Details tab. You may need to scroll down until you find Vertical resolution and Horizontal resolution in the list of properties. This will show you the DPI of your image. In most cases, the vertical and horizontal properties shown here will have the same value.
Right-click on the image and then select Properties. A window will appear with the images details. Go to the Details tab to see the images dimensions and resolution.
On Windows, find the image in File Explorer, right-click on it and choose Properties from the menu. There, click the Details tab and look for Vertical resolution and Horizontal resolution in the list, which will show you the images DPI.
