hello my dear friends welcome to system technologies in my microsoft office word document I had some nice header and footer info but all of sudden I lost it somehow I could neither see nor edit it in this video we will see how to restore the hidden header and footer in Microsoft Word first of all make sure that you are in print layout view header and footer arent visible in other views move the mouse pointer to the top of the page as you can see here your mouse pointer should change to a double box with up and down arrows now double click thats all you will now get your header and footer back if you have multi page document you can do the same at the page break line as well there is one more way select file and then options tab on display tick the check box in front of show whitespace between pages in print layout view click OK [Music] I hope it worked for you as well thanks for watching [Music]

Edit your existing headers and footers Double-click the header or footer you want to edit, or select Header or Footer, and then select Edit Header or Edit Footer. Add or change text for the header or footer or do any of the following: When youre done, select Close Header and Footer or press Esc.
Click the Header Footer button in the middle of the ribbon. Uncheck the box to the left of Footer. Click Apply to All. You can also remove the footer from a single slide by unchecking Footer and clicking the Apply button on each slide that shouldnt have a footer.
Solution: If you cant directly edit footer text, its probably the case that the footer placeholder has been turned off in Slide Master view. To change that situation, you can open Slide Master view and make changes there, as described below. On the View tab, select Slide Master.
Show footer information on your slides Click INSERT Header Footer. On the Slide tab, check Footer. In the box below Footer, type the text that you want, such as the presentation title.
On the View tab, select Slide Master. In Slide Master view, the layout for your slide appears in the main pane. On the Slide Master tab, in the Master Layout group, select the Footers box: In the main pane, immediately you should be able to see the footer placeholders on the slide layout.
Click INSERT Header Footer. Click the Slide tab, make the changes you want, and click either Apply to apply the changes to the selected slides, or Apply to All to make the changes to all the slides.
Select the PowerPoint slide/s containing locked shape(s) you need to unlock, then click Unlock objects (Found beneath the Lock Object icon on the PPT Productivity Ribbon). The file will close momentarily and reopen (you need to first save your document to a local drive).
