If you dont want the formulas hidden when the sheet is protected in the future, right-click the cells, and click Format Cells. On the Protection tab, clear the Hidden check box. Click on Formulas and then click on Show Formulas to switch between displaying formulas and results.
You cant use formula in chart title, but you can link it with a cell having a formula. If you want to enter a line break in chart title you can create that line break in the cell you are linking to.
In the formula bar, type an equal sign (=). In the worksheet, select the cell that contains the data that you want to display in the title, label, or text box on the chart. Press ENTER.
On the Layout tab, in the Analysis group, click Trendline, and then click More Trendline Options. To display the trendline equation on the chart, select the Display Equation on chart check box.
Add or edit a chart title Click anywhere in the chart to show the Chart tab on the ribbon. Click Format to open the chart formatting options. In the Chart pane, expand the Chart Title section. Add or edit the Chart Title to meet your needs. Use the switch to hide the title if you dont want your chart to show a title.
The solution is quite simple - you need to link the chart title to a cell with a formula. Click on the chart title. Type the equal sign (=) in the Formula bar. Click on the cell that you want to link to the chart title. Press the Enter button.
Select the chart area of a chart, click in the Formula Bar (or not, Excel will assume youre typing a SERIES formula), and start typing. Its even quicker if you copy another series formula, select the chart area, click in the formula bar, paste, and edit.
Linking a Cell Value to the Chart Title Click on the Chart Title box. Go to Formula bar and type = Select the cell that you want to show as the chart title. Hit Enter.
