pastor doug im standing firmly in midair on the baptism question i know you changed your mind about this during your ministry what was the linchpin for you as you thought through baptism i will tell you so there and there really was a linchpin okay okay and that was i i grew up and i was baptized in the southern baptist church grew up in baptistic circles um when after i became calvinistic and in my pdocHubing we were the only church on the palouse where there was calvinism in the pulpit and so refugee you know stranded presbyterian types who were here for grad school or whatever started coming to our church and one of the younger couples had a baby and they asked me to baptize it are you crazy you know who does that but i thought okay im getting these presbyterians coming to the church now i probably better read up on it so i i started to read up on it and study the background i read a boatload of things i read both sides baptist and painted baptist the books i read didnt really get
