Creating an RTF template file consists of two basic steps: Design your template layout. Use the formatting features of your word processing application and save the file as RTF. Mark up your template layout. Insert the BI Publisher simplified tags.
Conditional Format is similar to Conditional Region except it allows for a formatting change based on a condition. This example will set the row background to red and font color to white for records where Status is equal to QuoteReceived.
To modify an RTF template: If you are editing an existing layout: Select your report in the business intelligence catalog and click Edit. Open the downloaded RTF template file in Microsoft Word. Load the sample data that you generated. Edit or create the layout template. Save the file as Rich Text Format (RTF).
The \pard means to reset the paragraph-formatting attributes to their default value, instead of inheriting them (or some of them!) from the previous paragraph. The \par means to end the current paragraph.
You can open RTF files in almost any text editor or word processor. Use default programs like WordPad or TextEdit to open rich-text files by double-clicking on them. Alternatively, upload RTFs to Google Drive to open them from anywhere including a computer or your phone.
An eText template is an RTF-based template that is used to generate text output for Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). At runtime, BI Publisher applies this template to an input XML data file to create an output text file that can be transmitted to a bank or other customer.
Go to the xml tag in the rtf template, in which we want to use NVL function in rtf template. Here below we are using NVL function to print NO Department in the rtf template output, when no Department value come in the DEPT tag as below.
Find a desired location to save the file. From within the Save As Window, find the Save File Type field. Select the drop-down arrow, and change the file from Rich Text Format (rtf) to Word Document (doc). Select Save.
On the Insert menu select Table Wizard. Step 1: Select Report Format. Start by selecting the basic report format. Step 2: Select Table Data. Step 3: Select Data Fields. Step 4: Group the Table. Step 5: Sort the Table. Step 6: Click Finish. Step 7: Customize the Table Using Microsoft Word Functionality.
Try editing rtf files using Microsoft Office Mobile or Microsoft Word app for Android. Both are available on Google Play. Editing rtf files is also possible using Google Docs.
