if you ever had to edit a PDF Im sure you came across the same problem I have which is basically you have a PDF and you need to add text or modify the text so you go to edit PDF and you click on the text box and start typing additional text that you need to like in my case permanent address and I can see right away that this font is minion Pro its not it doesnt look the same as the font used everywhere else in the PDF when I click on the text from the PDF it says Roberto right there but my text is typing as minion Pro so I select the text and go to format and type Roboto and try to find the font because I saw it being used but its not there I have Roboto mono slab so I have different types of Roboto but not the plain one okay so that doesnt work I try to go around this problem by selecting this text by back doing command C command V repositioning it and then maybe start typing over the text thinking maybe this will work but I can see right away this i

To add new text to a PDF while using the Preview app: Select Tools. Select Annotate. Tap the text icon. Place your cursor on the PDF where you want to add new text. Type the text. Use the text icon to change the font, size, and style of the text.
Go to the hamburger menu (Windows), or the Acrobat menu (macOS) Preferences Content Editing Font Options. Select an appropriate font in the Default font for Add Text drop-down list. Select an appropriate font size in the Font Size drop-down list.
You can use docHub or Preview to do this. In docHub, Click Edit PDF Select text Go to the Format tab Adjust font size in the toolbar. In Preview, Select text Right-click the mouse Choose Font Set the font size.
Replace fonts Choose Format Font Replace Fonts (from the Format menu at the top of the screen). Click the double arrows to the right of the font you want to replace, then choose a replacement. If the font is listed as a missing font, also choose a typeface. Click Replace Fonts.
To preview options as you select them, choose Show Preview from the Action pop-up menu. Select the text you want to format, then do any of the following: Change the font: Select a collection, typeface, or style (such as Bold).
Navigate to Tools Annotate Text from the Preview menu, or directly click on the T icon (with a box around it) from the Preview toolbar. A small text box will show up. You can type plain text inside and click the icon like an A to edit the font properties, including font size, color, position, style, etc.

The built-in Preview app on your Mac computer doesnt let you create fillable forms or convert flat forms into interactive ones. However, if your PDF is editable, youll just need to click the Show Form Filling Toolbar button and use the tools there to navigate the fillable fields.
