hi in this video ill show you how to swap or move columns around or basically rearrange them ive got a five column data set here its fairly easy but ill show three examples and the last example is probably gonna be the one where we would have a lot of columns and moving around with the other two examples is probably not going to be as ideal but lets say for example youve got a boss or a client or a stakeholder and they want to rearrange the table or the range of data that you have because theyre essentially your customer right and so maybe your data set is not in the order that they want so the most easiest way we can do it is cut and paste right so all we need to do is we can take a column here ctrl x to cut and then here right click you can go insert cut cells and its going to put it there now thats the easiest way to do it now if you had a small table data set thats not that bad control z to undo that thats the first way you can do it now the second way we can do it is u

Use pandas DataFrame. astype(int) and DataFrame. apply() methods to convert a column to int (float/string to integer/int64/int32 dtype) data type.
Rename columns. Use rename() method of the DataFrame to change the name of a column. See rename() documentation here. Add columns. You can add a column to DataFrame object by assigning an array-like object (list, ndarray, Series) to a new column using the [ ] operator. Delete columns. In [7]: Insert/Rearrange columns.
If you want to change the data type for all columns in the DataFrame to the string type, you can use df. applymap(str) or df. astype(str) methods.
tonumeric() This method is used to convert the data type of the column to the numerical one. As a result, the float64 or int64 will be returned as the new data type of the column based on the values in the column.
In order to convert data types in pandas, there are three basic options: Use astype() to force an appropriate dtype. Create a custom function to convert the data. Use pandas functions such as tonumeric() or todatetime()

To change the Spark SQL DataFrame column type from one data type to another data type you should use cast() function of Column class, you can use this on withColumn(), select(), selectExpr(), and SQL expression.
The dtype specified can be a buil-in Python, numpy , or pandas dtype. Lets suppose we want to convert column A (which is currently a string of type object ) into a column holding integers. To do so, we simply need to call astype on the pandas DataFrame object and explicitly define the dtype we wish to cast the column.
You can use the DataFrame. apply() and pd. todatetime() function to convert multiple columns to DataTime. apply() function applies function to each and every row and column of the DataFrame.
How do I change multiple columns in a data frame? Import pandas. Create a data frame with multiple columns. Create a dictionary and set key = old name, value= new name of columns header. Assign the dictionary in columns. Call the rename method and pass columns that contain dictionary and inplace=true as an argument.
