Reasons to docHub a document: When you want people to be able to sign, form fill or annotate a PDF file without invalidating the certificate. To attest you are the author of a document. To vouch for its contents. To specify what changes are permitted for it to stay certified.
docHubing your document marks your document and sets your specifications selected for each document. You can choose to send the document and not allow any changes and add tamper-resistance to your document. That means your document will have a warning dialog box if your document was altered.
Open a file in Acrobat and choose Tools Protect. Select whether you want to restrict editing with a password or encrypt the file with a certificate or password. Set password or security method as desired. Click OK and then click Save.
Encrypt a PDF or PDF Portfolio with a certificate For a single PDF or a component PDF in a PDF Portfolio, open the PDF. Choose Tools Protect More Options Encrypt with Certificate. At the prompt, click Yes. In the Certificate Security Settings dialog box, select the document components to encrypt.

How to unlock a PDF to remove password security: Open the PDF in Acrobat. Use the Unlock tool: Choose Tools Protect Encrypt Remove Security.
