Open the PDF and choose Tools Protection Encrypt Encrypt with Password 6. If you receive a prompt, click Yes to change the security. 7. Select Require A Password To Open The Document, then type the password in the corresponding field.
You have to open the application, click on Create PDF, and select your document. When your document has finished processing, go to the Protect section and click on the Set Password button. Now check the first box, Open Password, and set a password.
Click the Select a file button above or drag and drop a PDF into the drop zone. Enter a password, then retype it to confirm the password. Click Set password. Download the password protected PDF document or sign in to share it.
How to unlock a PDF to remove password security: Open the PDF in Acrobat. Use the Unlock tool: Choose Tools Protect Encrypt Remove Security.
Step 1: Open your PDF using the built-in PDF viewer. You will need to enter the password to unlock the file. Step 2: Tap the menu icon, then tap on share and find the Print icon. You can specify the destination as Print to PDF to save the file without a password in that location.
From the menu bar select File and choose Document Properties. Use keyboard shortcut (Ctrl + D) to open Document Properties. Within the Document Properties dialog box, select the Security tab and choose the Add Security button. Select the security options you want to enable using the check-boxes and drop-down menus.
Password protect a PDF file using Word Go to File Save as Select save option as PDF. Select the More options link underneath the file format box, then select the Options button from the box that pops up. Select the Encrypt document with a password option, then enter a password (twice) as prompted.
How to add passwords and permissions to PDF files: Open a file in Acrobat and choose Tools Protect. Select whether you want to restrict editing with a password or encrypt the file with a certificate or password. Set password or security method as desired. Click OK and then click Save.

Use Microsoft Offices Built-in Encryption Tool Open a Word document via Microsoft Word. Click File and choose Save As. Select Browse where the PDF will be saved. Pick PDF (*.pdf) from the Save as type dropdown. Hit the Option button. Enable the Encrypt the document with a password option then click OK.
