hello and welcome to this excel tips video I am so mad Mansell and in this video Im going to show you how to quickly find and select cells with bold font formatting in it so in this case I have this data set and I have these three cells where bold font formatting has been applied now in this data set I can manually select these but in case you have a huge data set then doing this manually is not an option so let me show you a very quick way of doing this I would first select this data set I would hold the ctrl key and then press the F key so this would open the Find and Replace dialog box and in this case I do want to find a specific text I want to find a specific format so I would click on the options button here and instantly it is going to show me all these options now here I can select a cell from which I want to find the formatting so I can select and I can specify find all the cells that have the formatting similar to the cell a3 so I would come here click on this drop down ico

Go to the Data tab. Click on the Filter icon (Key Board Shortcut: Control + Shift + L) For the column that you want to filter, click on the filter icon (the downward pointing arrow in the cell). In the drop-down, go to the Filter by Color option and select the color you applied to cells with text in bold font format.

The CheckBold function will only update when your worksheet is recalculated, not if you simply apply bold formatting to or remove it from cell A1. Note that the function now returns a value, 0 through 2. If it returns 0, there is no bold in the cell. If it returns 1, then the entire cell is bold.
Making All Occurrences Bold Press Ctrl+H to display the Replace tab of the Find and Replace dialog box. Click the Options button to expand the dialog box. In the Find What box, enter the word you want to make bold. Enter the same word in the Replace With box. Click the Format button to the right of the Replace With box.
Or click on any cell in the column and then press Ctrl + Space. Select the row number to select the entire row. Or click on any cell in the row and then press Shift + Space. To select non-adjacent rows or columns, hold Ctrl and select the row or column numbers.
You can also press Ctrl+B on your keyboard to make selected text bold, Ctrl+I to apply italics, and Ctrl+U to apply an underline.
To bold, press Ctrl + B. To italicize, press Ctrl + I. To underline, press Ctrl + U.
